Dear Tyler,

We have been following your rough week very closely here at Dublin Jerome. Your entire school family has been aware of your problems this week and you have been in our thoughts and prayers. It is good to read today that you had a better night and day. We are one week away from our big Snowball Softball tourney and Laps for Love and the students and staff are really getting excited about being able to help you and your family. Take care. Dear Tyler and the Alfriend Family,

Last evening I had dinner with my dear friend, Katie Albers. She shared your story and your blog with me. I was saddened to hear that you are fighting cancer and have endured such difficult, scary times since your diagnosis in November. I am so thankful that you are surrounded by caring and supportive family and friends and by the looks on your blog, the entire Dublin Community! Although I have not seen you since you were in my kindergarten class at Bailey Elementary, I want you to know that you are in my daily thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery. I pray that God will give you and your family the strength and will to fight this battle with cancer and that the doctors and nurses will have the wisdom to treat every symptom with care and precision which will result in a cancer-free, healthy recovery for you. I pray that your days ahead are comfortable and that your next round of chemotherapy will go as smoothly as possible with few side-effects. I loved seeing all of your pictures on your blog! You look as though you have grown into a fine, young teenager. Keep fighting the fight and never give up. God loves you and wants the best for you. Lean on Him and He will see you through your rough days.
Mrs. Deagle (Your Kindergarten Teacher from Bailey Elementary)
