Not Home Yet

For some reason Tyler's counts turned back down today. White, red, and platelets are all down. More transfusions are being done today. Going home has been delayed again.

The good news:
--ANC has shown the first upward movement. It moved to 25 after sitting a 0.0 for a week. It still has a way to go (it needs to be at 1,000), but at least we are moving in the right direction.
--Last night one of the interns finally spent a lot of time with Tyler trying different strategies on the oral pain med's. It looks like they found a combination of alternating high and low dose morphine that is keeping everything under control. So far so good.
--With an empty gym, a mask, and a lot of disinfectant wipes, Tyler was allowed to go the physical therapy to hit the stair climber again. He argued a long time to be allowed off J-5, so he deserves it.

Last week Chris Quinn came by to see Tyler and picked up one of his Fight to Win wrist bands. ESPN showed some highlights of the Heat game and it looked like Chris was wearing the band during the game. Pretty co0l!

More cool news: Olivia is the host of the cancer benefit at bd's mongolian barbeque in Dublin tomorrow, 6:30-7:30. She will be there with the Blue jackets

An update: Brett is back home now. Hospice is now scheduled. Here is an update from his mom.

Brett has 100 percent faith, trust and confidence in God and that he is going to be healed and made completely well. And we are agreeing with him too.

Now Brett is completely in the hands of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He's in great hands. Please join us in unceasing prayer and agree with us for Brett's healing. We have claimed it in Jesus' name.

Brett has proven to be an awesome warrior, a relentless fighter and a brave young man. God is not finished with him yet. His life has touched thousands of people, and we are believing that he will continue to touch people for many years to come with his incredible story and his miracle healing.

Dear Tyler,

We are continually praying for your counts to go up, pain to go away and for you to get a break at home before the next round. Great job pushing to get on the step. You'll be at the top of the Sears tower before you know it.
Fight to win!

Hi Kyle,

I just wanted to say hello and let you know that I at least got the ball rolling with your idea about J5 and the interconnecting Wiis. I sent an e-mail to my IT friend so I will keep you updated about his response. In the meantime, I'll be praying for an increase in those WBCs+bands+segs. Tell Tyler I said hello!
