Tyler is getting stronger every day...and looking great! We are now 60 days into remission, and the port is being removed today. What a great day!

Tyler:

Great news!...we are all stoked for you!

Also, here is a post from early on in this blog (just stir up some controversy!):

Results of the dog poll: Sounds like we are getting a Labradoodle!
There is still some disagreement in the family. We will need to wait until Tyler is a little better, so we will re-do the poll then. If you think we should add another breed of dog, just let us know.

Kathy thinks the vote was unfair, but this was pure democracy. Kathy said it was unfair because she never was allowed to vote. You can only vote one time per computer, and someone had voted on every computer on the oncology floor, the parents lounge, and at home. I can not imagine how that happened.

Actually she did vote on one computer, but Erik saw her and went back and changed her vote. But do not tell Kathy.

Results:
1. No new dog - listen to your mother - 15%
2. Beagle - 10%
3. Jack Russell Terrier - 4%
4. Labradoodle - 40%
5. Any dog from the pound - 29%

Hey-

I hear it's Kathy's birthday today! I think Tyler should buy her a Labradoodle for her birthday.

Go for it Tyler. Oreo will love you, and your mom (eventually) will be happy about it too!

You can do it!

We are so thrilled to read about your great news! Our prayers have been answered! We will continue to keep all of you in our daily prayer.

I ask now for prayers for my friend, Judy Smith, who has been diagnosed with stage four lymphoma. She is very strong but needs all of our prayrers to get through this.

Love to all of the Afriends!

I just wathced Michael Phelps win his eighth gold medal and know that the love of his family will prevail in all of this. The love of the Ruf family is with all of you!

Way to go, Tyler! Wow, you're really surrounded by so many friends, family and others who are cheering for you -- and praying for you!

I got Burkitt's Lymphoma last year and just completed a bone marrow stem cell transplant at the City of Hope in Pasadena, California in January 08.

Please visit the site I'm launching later this week: http://getavision.org. I would really like for you to be the first person to create a "visionGROUP" on the site. The site's not finished, so it may be difficult to understand right now -- I hope not. Please give it a shot and let's see how it goes.

I thank God you're doing so well! Many blessings, John

Hello Tyler,

Miss you but love knowing you are free at last from ports and chemo and hospital food. Ace your school work, get your license, grow your hair and love every minute of life. Time to reflect, appreciate and respect some fabulous folks who never let you down. Your mother and father head the list.

Always remember God just isn't through with you yet - pay attention and you will hear why.

Love you so much,

Grandma Bonnie
